Burj Khalifa

For the past decade, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, has been the tallest building globally.
The massive 2,717-foot structure was completed in 2010.
There are a total of 163 floors.
It has become a massive attraction for tourists from all around the world.
On level 148 of the Burj Khalifa, there is the world’s highest outdoor observation deck, from where one can see all of Dubai.
Interesting fact- the air conditioning system produces condensation used to water the gardens around the building.

Merdeka 118 Tower

In December 2021, Merdeka 118 Tower surpassed Shanghai Tower to become the second tallest structure in the world.

The skyscraper has 118 floors and is the new headquarters for the PNB Group.

The building is an office space, sublet retail outlets, a residential area, and an observation deck.
More about the building is yet to be revealed, but it is expected to be a significant tourist attraction.

Shanghai Tower

This structure was completed in 2015 is a whopping 2,073 feet long.

The deck is the highest globally, providing visitors with a stunning view of Lujiazui and the Huangpu River.

With a top speed of 45.9 mph, the Shanghai Tower’s elevators are among the world’s fastest. 

The State owns the building.

China’s new environmental commitment is exemplified in the Shanghai Tower, an inspiring symbol.

Makkah Royal Clock Tower

The next in our list of the tallest buildings globally is the Makkah Royal Clock Tower.
Masjid Al-Haram, the world’s largest mosque, is only a few meters away from the Tower.
There is a prayer room within the Royal Makkah Clock Tower Crescent.
An Islamic museum and a moon-viewing area are available at the facility.
The clock tower has the most prominent clock dial in the world.
Makkah’s clock tower has 98 million mosaic tiles adorned with 24 karat gold leaf.

Ping An Finance Center

The structure is named after the Ping An Insurance Company of China, one of the world’s largest investment firms.
Ping An Finance and their subsidiaries use the building office floors. In addition, the floors below are occupied by hotels and residential spaces.
The 116th to 118th floors of the tower has an observatory.
A slim profile with a width-to-height aspect ratio of 1:10 defines the tower’s structure.
